(When we want to be present and are able to be present in every moment of our lives.)
And abundance is hidden in every blink of an eye. Not the kind of blessing you write into a gratitude journal.
Something more like this: You no longer need to be somewhere else.
You don't want to exchange this moment for a higher vibration.
You don't want to fix your life.
You don't want to polish reality into something more spiritual.
You don't fill it with beautiful-sounding enlightened explanations.
It's raining? It's raining. You're laughing? You're laughing. It hurts? It hurts.
And yet, wholeness is present in all of it. You live it. You are in it, and it is in you.
It is the recognition that life, even with all its imperfections, overflows beyond itself.
The bird doesn't know what frequency its song carries. The tree you hug doesn't know it is spiritual. The river where ceremonies are held does not want enlightenment.
They simply do what they do. They exist.
And the heart is not complete because someone is holding its hand—or because no one is.
Sometimes I feel that people make life complicated at the very moment when simply being alive is no longer enough. Immediately we search for meaning, status, purpose, a higher level, an explanation.
Yet the whole universe can fit into a single moment: sitting by the shore, watching the clouds, and not wanting to become anything other than who you already are.
I enjoy being human.
This is the long-awaited, everyday "portal day."
And I do not want to leave a single moment of it.
With love,
