Modern spirituality: a true path or a collection of illusions?

Spirituality is, at its core, about the search for truth.
About gaining a deeper understanding of ourselves, discovering how the world works, and how we are connected to it all.
About the reality of spirit embodied in human form.

Yet if we look around, we often see that the modern “spiritual scene” tells stories of colorful illusions that may make reality feel more pleasant, but do not truly transform it.

How many people believe that one course, one initiation, one more therapy is enough to become “elevated”?
How many search for “signs” even where they should simply see the consequences of their own decisions?
How many hide their pain behind “positive thinking” instead of genuinely facing it?

One of the misunderstandings of modern spirituality is the idea that everything that happens to us is solely the result of conscious creation. In truth, the process is much deeper. Every human being carries their own experiences as well as those of their ancestors — beliefs, patterns, imprints — all vibrating as energy. Because everything is interconnected, individual vibrations influence the collective field, and the collective field influences the individual in return. Consciously or unconsciously, we are constantly shaping the world around us. Our lives are therefore not “random,” but spaces in which realities created in the past (consciously or unconsciously) are reflected back to us.

It is tempting to label every uncomfortable experience as a “karmic lesson” or “negative energy.” And it is equally tempting to seek change only on a theoretical level, while deeper layers remain untouched. True transformation requires spiritual tools — not as a means of escape, but as conscious inner work. Spiritual methods are not meant to erase problems, but to serve as tools that help us recognize, understand, and transform what we have been creating unconsciously.

We can change what we previously shaped instinctively, based on patterns and belief systems.

True spirituality is the acceptance and transformation of reality. It is not the accumulation of theories, but practical wisdom lived through life. Not “ego-driven progress,” but deep and honest work with oneself — often painful, yet ultimately liberating.

Because in the end, we realize that we ourselves are spirit embodied.
