The Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing
The ego always wants to prove itself. To appear better, smarter, more right. Conflict, competition, the mindset of “life will show them” are all part of this game. And when someone dresses revenge in spiritual clothing – “God will punish them,” or acting in God’s name, or saying “they will get it back anyway” – it is still the ego, just playing a different role: the “teacher,” the “enlightened one,” the “holder of higher knowledge.”
This is the wolf in sheep’s clothing.
One of the ego’s greatest traps is deception. Fear-mongering and manipulation through uncertainty are typical tools. And in doing so, we do not only deceive others, but ourselves as well.
“Just one more thing.”
“Just one more time, I’ll show them.”
“Just one last jab, and then I’ll finally be at peace.”
But struggle does not lead to peace. It leads to more struggle. The ego always finds another “final” battle.
The Golden Age is not about forcing our truth onto others and winning in the end. It is not about crushing one another, but about rising together. Because elevation is not born from defeating the other, but from letting go of our own ego.
When the ego leads, we do not connect – we only seek justification. When the heart leads, the other person is not an enemy, but a companion on the path.
The question is:
Do you fight, or do you rise?
