Journey Through Life
We set a goal and take the necessary steps – we buy the ticket, book the accommodation – yet we can never know the details in advance. We set off toward an unknown destination.
We cannot know who we will meet, what unexpected situations we will face, or what experiences await us.
We surrender ourselves to the unknown. We move forward, wait at a station. And only when the moment arrives do we decide whether we want to spend the time resting or actively. Together or alone, according to our own plans or someone else’s. Sometimes the journey is comfortable, other times narrow and exhausting – yet every place adds something to us.
Wherever we go, we are there. With our own feelings, our own way of thinking – with the way we see the world.
Do we constantly watch our fellow travelers, thinking for them how they should behave, what they should or should not do? Or are we able to turn our attention inward, into our own world? Are we at peace with things unfolding differently than we would want?
When we are in harmony with ourselves, we can feel at home anywhere.
Whether the sun is shining or rain is pouring, we can look at everything with wonder, because we are truly experiencing it. This is how the whole world becomes a peaceful flow. This is how we understand that every journey is about us – and ends with us, within us.
